Version: V1.10.0 — U.S. & International Edition Effective Date: October 3, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Truvemo, including Truvemo.com and the Truvemo web application or Progressive Web App (collectively, the “Service”).
Truvemo is operated by Wanlin Online Network Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (万林在线网络技术(深圳)有限公司), a company incorporated in the People’s Republic of China (“Company,” “Truvemo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Important delivery authorization: after the 168-hour Check-in period and full 72-hour confirmation window, a further 720-hour (30-day) Status Review timeout may authorize private delivery if neither you nor the Status Confirmer responds as described in Sections 6 and 7. This may authorize delivery even if your selected ordinary status condition is not met. It does not mean that you have died or become incapacitated. Content already disclosed cannot be recalled.
1. What Truvemo Is
Truvemo is a private digital entrustment service.
It allows a user to prepare private content in advance, designate an intended recipient, periodically confirm that no delivery process is needed, and establish a process through which Entrusted Content may eventually become available to the intended recipient if defined conditions and verification steps are satisfied.
Truvemo is intentionally designed around caution and restraint.
2. What Truvemo Is Not
Truvemo is not:
- a legal will;
- an estate-planning or inheritance service;
- a trust;
- life insurance;
- a medical directive;
- a notary or public-record service;
- an emergency-response service; or
- legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Truvemo does not independently determine whether a person is alive, deceased, incapacitated, missing, or legally unavailable.
A missed Check-in, a Status Confirmer declaration, or the 30-day timeout is not proof or a legal, medical, or government determination of any such status.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to create a Truvemo account.
You must provide reasonably accurate information and keep important account and recipient information up to date.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.
4. Entrusted Content
You retain ownership of content you create through Truvemo.
You grant Truvemo only the limited rights reasonably necessary to store, protect, process, transmit, display, or otherwise handle that content in order to operate the Service and carry out your instructions.
Truvemo does not acquire ownership of your Entrusted Content.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content is lawful. You represent that you are legally permitted to provide another person’s information to Truvemo for the purposes described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy, including designating a Recipient or Status Confirmer, and that you have any authority or permission required by applicable law. Provide contact information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and keep it current. Do not use designation, confirmation, or delivery to harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, or unlawfully disclose another person’s information. Your designation does not constitute that person’s consent to processing or acceptance of a role, and does not replace any notice or consent that applicable law requires Truvemo to provide or obtain.
5. Designated Recipients
You are responsible for providing accurate recipient information and updating that information when reasonably necessary.
Designating a person as a recipient does not require that person to participate.
You privately designate an intended Recipient. Designation does not invite that person, ask them to accept or reject the role, verify their Email as a Recipient, or set a Recipient PIN. They normally learn of the Entrustment only after release is authorized.
If the same person is also your Primary Status Confirmer, their pre-release invitation is solely for that separate responsibility and does not reveal their Recipient role or entrusted content.
For each Entrustment, you create a Retrieval Password and required Password Hint in advance. You share the Password privately outside Truvemo. Choose and privately communicate a Password and Hint that enable your intended Recipient to determine the Password without exposing it to others; do not put the full Password in the Hint. Truvemo cannot recover the Retrieval Password and provides no supported bypass or recovery mechanism for Recipient retrieval. If the Recipient cannot provide it, the content cannot be retrieved through that flow. The Hint is available only in the secure retrieval flow after Email verification and is not sent in the ordinary availability email.
Truvemo may delay or refuse release where identity, authorization, circumstances, security, or recipient information cannot be adequately verified.
6. Check-Ins and Confirmation
A valid Owner “I’m OK” Check-in starts or restarts the safety clock. If no further valid Check-in occurs, after exactly 168 elapsed hours (7 days) the Owner enters a full 72-hour confirmation window. Only after that entire window ends without a valid Check-in does Truvemo enter Status Confirmation and ask the Primary Status Confirmer. Server time governs these periods. Opening the app, signing in, opening an Email, or receiving a notification is not itself a Check-in.
The Primary Status Confirmer is a trusted person who accepts an invitation, verifies their Email, establishes a security credential, and may report the Owner’s known situation. Their statement is an input to the release process, not a legal declaration of death, medical determination, government finding, or objective finding by Truvemo.
For each Status Review request generation, the separate maximum waiting period begins only when its review Email has been accepted by the Email provider and Truvemo has durably recorded that accepted result. Provider acceptance does not prove that the person read it. The period is exactly 720 elapsed hours (30 days). Reminders, retries, or resends for the same generation do not restart it. A later legitimately created generation can have a new start time.
7. Conservative Delivery
Truvemo is designed to favor protecting private information rather than releasing it prematurely.
No single missed Check-in, Confirmer statement, failed communication, technical signal, or other isolated event necessarily triggers release. If meaningful uncertainty remains, Truvemo may continue to protect the Entrusted Content.
At or after the exact 720-hour review deadline, a timeout may authorize the agreed delivery process only if both the Owner has made no newer valid “I’m OK” Check-in and the current Status Confirmer has made no valid declaration for that generation. Current Entrustment and release authority, Owner recovery or cancellation, and security, administrative, integrity, or other protective holds are checked before access can continue.
Any valid declaration ends the timeout path for that generation, including a report of restored contact, temporary unavailability, death, long-term disappearance, long-term inability to manage affairs, or inability to confirm. These are the Confirmer’s reports of known circumstances, not findings by Truvemo. “Unable to confirm” is a response, not non-response: it freezes the process without release or automatic reopening. “Contact restored” does not release content, act as an Owner Check-in, reset the safety clock, or automatically start a new review. “Temporarily unavailable” does not release content; it schedules one further Status Review for the same pending delivery and the version of the Entrustment already selected for it exactly 168 elapsed hours (7 days) after the declaration, without repeating the Owner’s 168-hour and 72-hour sequence.
You agree in advance that prolonged double non-response beyond the defined maximum waiting period may authorize Truvemo to continue the protected delivery process. Status Confirmation timeout is a separate delivery authorization basis, not a finding of death, disappearance, incapacity, or legal or medical status. For an otherwise ready Entrustment under this policy, it may authorize delivery even when the ordinary status condition selected for the Entrustment is not met by a Confirmer report. Timeout authorization does not directly expose content.
After authorization, the Recipient receives an availability notification. Each new secure retrieval session requires a fresh Email one-time code and the exact Owner-defined Retrieval Password. A link or Hint alone cannot open the content. If the Owner completes a valid Check-in before disclosure, pending access is canceled, frozen, or revoked. If content was already disclosed, that event remains part of the history and the information cannot be made undisclosed.
Existing Entrustments do not silently gain this new release authority. The Owner must review the Recipient, complete the new password and Hint setup, and acknowledge the policy before an older Entrustment can become ready under this policy.
8. No Guarantee of Delivery
We will use reasonable efforts to operate the Service according to the processes presented to you.
However, we cannot guarantee that Entrusted Content will always be delivered, delivered at a particular time, or successfully received.
Delivery may be affected by inaccurate recipient information, email filtering, recipient inaction, verification difficulties, security concerns, legal restrictions, technical problems, third-party failures, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Because premature disclosure may be irreversible, Truvemo may delay release where meaningful uncertainty exists.
9. Subscription and Pricing
The standard Truvemo subscription is:
US$49 per year
unless a different price is clearly presented before purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew annually unless canceled before the applicable renewal date.
We intend to send a renewal reminder approximately 30 days before the annual renewal date.
You may cancel automatic renewal before your next renewal charge.
Cancellation prevents future renewal charges but does not by itself constitute a refund of an existing charge.
Any applicable taxes will be handled through the checkout process as required.
10. Paddle as Merchant of Record
Where Paddle is used to process an order:
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment processing, transaction taxes, receipts, invoices, subscription-payment administration, and refunds may therefore be handled through Paddle.
Paddle Buyer Terms may separately apply to your payment transaction.
11. Cancellation
You may cancel automatic renewal through the available subscription-management process.
Once canceled, the subscription will not renew at the next scheduled renewal date.
Unless a refund is issued, paid access generally continues through the remainder of the already-paid subscription period.
Refund eligibility is governed by the Truvemo Refund Policy and applicable mandatory law.
12. Acceptable Use
You may not use Truvemo to:
- violate applicable law;
- violate another person’s rights;
- threaten, harass, defraud, or impersonate another person;
- distribute malware or malicious code;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- abuse the recipient or confirmation process; or
- store or transmit material you have no legal right to possess or transmit.
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, recipients, Truvemo, service providers, or third parties.
13. Intellectual Property
Except for user-created Entrusted Content, the Truvemo Service, brand, name, logos, software, interfaces, designs, text, and related materials belong to Truvemo, the Company, or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Use of the Service does not transfer ownership of these materials to you.
14. Service Changes and Availability
Truvemo is an evolving product.
We may add, modify, remove, or improve features for technical, security, legal, operational, or product reasons.
We may conduct maintenance or experience interruptions.
Where a material change significantly affects an active paid service or active entrustment, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
15. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, fraud, abuse, security threats, non-payment, or legal requirements.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time, subject to applicable retention requirements.
16. Refunds
Truvemo provides a 30-day money-back period as described in the Refund Policy.
Where a transaction was processed by Paddle, any approved refund will normally be processed through Paddle.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every email, notification, verification request, or delivery attempt will reach the intended destination.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Truvemo nor the Company will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from use of or inability to use the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Because applicable consumer laws differ between jurisdictions, any limitation of liability will operate only to the extent legally permitted.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the competent courts in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory protections available under the laws of the jurisdiction in which that consumer resides where those protections cannot legally be waived.
Payment transactions processed by Paddle may separately be governed by Paddle’s applicable Buyer Terms.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, business, security requirements, or applicable law changes.
We will identify the effective date of an update and provide notice of material changes affecting existing users through the Service or an operational Email before those changes apply, except where an immediate change is required by law or necessary for security. We will obtain affirmative agreement before applying a materially broader delivery authorization to an existing Entrustment. Applicable mandatory notice and consent requirements continue to apply.
